Body Worn Sensors

Amongst the new innovations in PD management are so-called BWS (Body Worn Sensors), which can increasingly be used at home, and help provide carers and clinicians with information about progression of disease, day to day functions and alerts for problems (eg. Risk of falling). BWS obviously offer new opportunities for improving management strategy in PD but their precise scope of use in daily routine care needs further research and development.
